In 2024, the Dutch band BLØF set out on a remarkable journey: the Vreemde Wegen Tour. Instead of traditional concert halls, the band chose to perform in extraordinary locations across the country—each show a tribute to connection, place, and atmosphere.

One of the most memorable stops was a floating stage in the moat of a medieval castle tower near Utrecht. With a small audience gathered close, surrounded by history and water, it became a truly intimate performance—something you don’t just hear, but feel.

We were invited to capture this moment—not just to document it, but to bottle the atmosphere, the emotion, and the magic of that evening in a way that lives on.

Why We Chose This Setting

With the setting doing half the storytelling, our challenge was to blend seamlessly into the experience and let the moment shine. We filmed with a small, agile team—moving quietly around the water’s edge, using drones and handheld cameras to catch the golden-hour light, the reflection on the water, and the stillness between the notes.

The result is an aftermovie that brings you right back to that castle moat. The soft glow of the stage, the closeness of the audience, the richness of BLØF’s sound echoing through ancient stone. A tribute not just to the tour—but to the beauty of music in unexpected places.
